Arakawa Under the Bridge SEASON 1 ENDS - SEASON 2 GREEN-LIT

animenewsnetwork:
The final episode of the first season of the Arakawa under the bridge anime series has announced on Sunday night that production on a second season has been green-lit. The announcement was made after the end of the episode after midnight (effectively early Monday morning). The television anime series adapts Hikaru Nakamura's manga of the same name, which has been running in Square Enix's Young Gangan magazine since 2004.

I'm glad they decided to continue on with this anime, I would be terribly sad that it was discontinued because the last episode didn't satisfy me..

'Colorful' - Anime Film set to release!

"I, died once before... in colorful world, which color's are real, which colors are my own, I don't know"

"Congratulations. You have won a lottery, would you like to relive your life once again?"

There may have been mistranslations, as I know only BASIC Japanese, excus any mistranslations.

The trailer set a sense of a setimental film, a film that may contain numerous themes and moral-meaning. It does look like a promising anime film. It's attracted my attention with the realistic backdrops of the city, it's smooth flow of music selection.

This film is something that anyone could look forward to, but I hope it doesn't turn out to be one of those corny-classic animes that starts off well, but ends terrible.

Here is the plot (animenewsnetwork):

The "heart-warming comedy" follows a person who finds himself trapped outside the normal endless circle of life and death. Thanks to "winning" a lottery in the angel world, the protagonist is brought back to inhabit the body of a 14-year-old boy — who just committed suicide. Thus, the protagonist begins a new life.

From what you can see in the trailer it does look superb.

By all means, whoever is interested keep an eye on this anime film that set to be released in August 21st. Oh, by the way, I love the official site for this anime, it's plain COLORFUL!

Arakawa Under the Bridge

Yes, I might add that I'm actually quite addicted to this anime. Yeh I know, it's considered the most randomest (is that a word or am I spelling it wrong?) anime I've ever seen. Besides the (hen-na chari) weird characters that are introduced in every episode and how each character bestows it's very own individual trait and characteristics . They even have their own little personal 'job' that they wanted to do in order support the people under the bridge with, makes it incredibly interesting. The fact that their random wack jokes, cheesy gags that come into the anime every few minutes makes it even anymore unique, this anime is superb.

You really can't tell how the characters are interpreted, I mean each character would have their own little personal background history, but aren't you sometimes a little curious as to how Nino ended up under the bridge and how each other characters ended up under the bridge every now and then.

Anyways, overall, the anime is just, oh-so random, but then again I loved how there was further development of the romance genre when it seeps into the series (as of ep 4-5) and ends up showing a deeper character-relationship development between the two main (Nino-Rec).

I don't even know what to say about this anime, the openings of the anime is even more 'unique' then any other I've seen:

OPENING 1 :Venus to Jesus BY Yakushimaru Etsuko

OPENING 2 (ep 5): Title nante Jibun de Kangaenasai na BY Maria (CV. Sawashiro Miyuki)

The opening songs are pretty self explanatory, the exquisite art using powerful colours and unique 'retro' styled animation for the opening just emphasizes the playful anime. Especially the second opening, wow Maria you've actually made me laugh with your little opening song.

Somehow, I don't know how the studio have done it. But it has made me become one of their vivid fans of this anime. I'm even waiting for the release of the CD:

April Animes (A bit of reviewing I guess)

From my previous post, I posted up a list of animes that I was planning to watch over this season, I even made a schedule list as well.
Since a couple of the newer animes came out thought I'd like to say my thoughts about the animes, although I've only seen the first couple of episodes that were released.

Major S6

I haven't started it yet, but will gradually pick up a couple of the episodes in a few months, because I know that once I start watching I'll catch onto it too much.

Senko no Night Raid
Gehhh, an anime that I couldn't stand watching. I was into the first episode, and about roughly 10 minutes into the anime I eventually got bored. Enough said, but I do think that the main character's 'japanese' accent in his chinese-mandarin pronounciations were awfully funny.
No harm done, I basically wasted 10 minutes. I'll drop this anime, but maybe eventually pick it up when I'm in the state of dead-boredom.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama!
Ah, I'd say this anime's so-so.... alot of maid themes are going in the anime. Reasonably alright plot, although not much character development is showing, but I wouldn't say this is a slow paced anime. I'm looking forward to more actually.

Angel Beats!
I thought I'd stall this anime BUT the first episode and onwards caught my attention, I'm glad I watched it. From now on I'm greatly following on this anime, it's awesome, let's forget about the previous bash on this anime. This anime's simply unique, mysterious, and crazy at times. I'm placing it 3rd in my April's anime's list.

Arakawa Under the Bridge
Amusement is slightly cheesy, but I did get a giggle here and there with this anime. I love the development between Ric and Nino. Let's just see how this ends up, I'm excited. This anime's second on the list of "April's animes"

Giant Killing
Superb sports anime, nice kick-off start with introducing the main character and character's background information. Alot of character development is shown for the first few episodes so far, and yet a competition arises between the 2 groups (attemption to avoid spoilers). I wonder how'll they do in the first match with a new manager. Thi anime's first on my list of 'April' animes.

Many new animes

Due to the mass-airing of new animes and the fact that some anime ended, I had to reschedule my anime "watching now schedule" this month. And so, here it is, the anime's I'm watching:

Monday: -
Tuesday: -
Wednesday: -
Thursday: Durarara
Friday: Senko no Night Raid, Kaichou wa Maid-sama
Saturday: Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Detective Conan, Angel Beats, Major S6

Wow, my weekends are jam-packed with animes. Now I'll be watching 10 animes? Although I havent officially started watching 3 of the 10 animes. Oh, wait I'm also 'stalled' an anime aswell... so that means.. 3 out of 10, plus one stalled.

More on Anime - Most anticipated anime (Spring '10)

It's a roll of anime posts this week. Let's see I've actually looked at the Spring Catalogue AGES ago, but I didn't bother blogging, so thought I'd properly blog about this. Since the Spring anime's will be coming in soon... might as well mention a few that interests me.

This is from my opinion, taste, theme, likes that I prefer or would like to watch this Spring... (should I say winter for me?)

Oh by the way, you can take a look at the catalogue here if you want.
Start-o!

6. Angel Beats
I have mentioned this before in the "2010 anticipated anime" post. BUT I've finally read the plot for the anime... ughh... I'm speechless.. think I wont be watching it, but it made it onto my list from watching the recent trailer. Nani kore? Basically three words: angels, battles, rebel ... so.. yeh. Anime said to be released this April. (Airing now actually from the 2nd, but I doubt I'll watch it.)

5. Senko no Night Raid
Ah, yeh, I know... the typical action anime desshou? But, it doesn't look that bad after watching the trailer, looks decent, storyline slightly intriguing. Set in Shanghai, missions... Maybe I'll try it out. Anime said to release this April 5th.

4. Arakawa Under the Bridge
This is 'wow' anime. Original storyline, something I've never actually watched that's anything similar to what I just read. Let's see how this turns out, the unique plot and character relationships. Anime said to be released this April 4th.

3. Giant Killing
I'm having high expections on this anime, I mean... SOCCER, a sport that I like. This has to be good. But let's hope this isn't one of those hit-and-miss sports animes. Anime said to be released this April 4th.

2. Kaichou wa Maid-sama
Kya! Shoujo anime! Those who've read the manga should know how GOOD this is, now they plan to release an anime rendition of the manga. It's sweet as sugar. Anime said to be released this April 2nd.

1. Major Season 6!
This is my MOST anticipated anime... I, I'm actually a diehard fan of Major, I've been following it ever since the first season, kya... KITAA!!!!!!! Will be released on April 3rd according to the official site!

Many of the anime's will be starting this month, even tonight and some tommorow.. let's start the anime marathon!

Kimi ni Todoke - Finale

I need to sob for the ending of Kimi ni Todoke, the last episode did not satisfy me, I want a second season since there's still plenty more of the manga. But I loved it, Sawako, realising her true feelings, Kazehaya ... kya! I'll miss this anime...

Please I.G Productions, please make a second season.

For now, I'm hooked onto Durarara, as usual.

My holiday begins, that is all for the update.

Irreplaceable - Anime

Like what I said.... Anime is irreplaceable, not matter what happens I'll always love it. Without music, anime and entertainment, I guess life would be boring. Although I'm getting drawn in by the anime world and slowly turning into an official otaku, I'm failing in school - thanks to anime.

I've recently downloaded an album One Piece - Memorial Best which it's tracks include OP/ED and character seiyuu sung songs of One Piece. This album is a great asset to those who love One Piece and who are vivid One Piece fans. If you're asking where I downloaded it, you can try simply googling it - I'm pretty sure you'll find a link where you can download the whole album.

5. Detective Conan - Oh, I see~

Yeh, I decided to place this anime in 5th for now (currently end of my list) I mean, it's decent. But ever since the seiyuu change I've been lacking interest in continuing this anime. Well, you see, maybe it's not only the seiyuu but the lack of character development and the "what not" Black Org. As for the cases here and there, it's considerably alright; I wouldn't say it's the best. Most of the recent cases that were aired in the anime were predictable.... Detective Conan is slowly drifting away from my interest. I guess we'll have to see what will happen in a couple of newer episodes.

4. Katekyo Hitman Reborn - Parrallel worlds?

Lame. Well I guess it's alright. But seeing that the explanation of parrallel worlds and duplicate selves in each world and connecting with them is a bit, how should I say it 'poor'. But the actions all good, Tsuna's personality is greatly seens in the newest episodes, especially how he freaks out once he finds out something shocking. As for the manga of this... I havent checked it out yet, BUT the newer arc will be related to 'The inheritance ceremony' where new SEVEN(7) characters appear in Namimori for unknown hidden reason. I can't wait for the manga arc to be made into the anime arc. From what I heard there will be a new OP in May, so I'm predicting the new arc will start in May sometime. Overall, thought the idea about future and parrallel worlds were original, but slightly lame; actions, values, character development in this anime so far is good.

3. Kimi ni Todoke - All warm and fuzzy

This is nice, slow-paced but warm anime. This is probably the best shoujo anime I've seen up to date. Nothing I need to rant about this anime, since it's sticking closely to the manga storyline... I love it. Indeed, very cute overall - Ahh.. Kazehaya x Sawako (Kawaii!!)

2. One Piece - Let's go!

After the recovery of Luffy, who would've thought that Luffy's involvement caused such chaos ad catastrophe... I love how his somehow slowly recruiting help/enemies/allies to group with and decide's to follow Ace to Marineford. Loving the great character development, action, friendship themes. Although I do wonder, what's happening with the other Straw Hat crew members? I also want to question, if Luffy were to get a new bounty, I really wonder how much increase will he get (double? triple? half of is current increase? total of straw hat crew?) All these questions that I'm waiting to be answered.. I can't wait for the next and future episodes.

1. Durarara!! - Hero, numbers...?

It's on the roll! Durararararararararararararara~!
This anime is amazing (as in SUGOI). So many unexpected events happening. Lot's of revelations of the character's past and present stories/situations. Finally the members and BOSS is revealed, who would've thought that he was the boss/leader. Woah. Alot of crazy things happened in the latest episodes (7-12) Incredible. I wonder what's going to happen next.

Ikebukuro Lovers (Durarara!!) - CHARACTER ver. + Download link (MP3/AVI)

Who would've thought that in my 'hiatus' period I would upload a video.

This is another version of the famous 'Ikebukuro Lovers' song, one the many versions I should say. Although song in the video is actually a fan cover of the characters and was uploaded on nicovideos NOT by the real seiyuu. The person who sang it isn't pretty far from the real, therefore thought I'd use it to dub over the video and sub it. The song is sang by two seperate fan covers one by a female and one by a male in nicovideo. I just edited and joined the two audio files from the two fan covers. Joining the audio files itself took me ages since I'm new with audacity. Anyways...

Original Female fan cover:
nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9987840

Original Male fan cover:
nicovideo.jp/watch/sm9814919

I usually don't get much views on my subbed videos, but I uploaded this video a couple of days ago and has already garnered more than 800 views which I didnt expect. I'm pretty proud of myself now.

You can download this subbed video, character version. I have alslo uploaded the mp3 link to this version song here:
MU avi

MU mp3

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT UPLOAD IT ON YT (Except on my account of course) or REDISTRIBUTE :) You may download for your personal entertainment. But please to not upload it onto video streaming sites other than I uploading it via my OWN account. If you are intending to use it as a reference PLEASE LINK BACK AND CREDIT!

[UPDATED mp3] Ikebukuro Lovers (Durarara!!) - Kaito

Recently been obsessed with the anime Durarara!! The anime's everywhere on youtube, as well as nicovids, I guess Durarara's mysterious string of plot is popular and unique.

Anyways, this will be my last sub video before heading back into the reality of studying ( I know I've been saying that I'm studying- but hey, this time it's seriously real)

Later tonight I'll announce my offical one month hiatus from this week on. I will take a break as well as a studying period for my mid exams that will take place next week (Yeh, I'm one of those people who study in the last minute, last second, last millisecond). But before I get back to the 'fun', I thought that I'd share a nice video/song that was written by a person who's also is obssessed with Durarara (now very popular on nicovideos).

Here's a bit of background information on this particular song/video I decided to sub:
This is taken from the original person who first uploaded onto youtube:

'Ikebukuro Lovers' is a parody of "Ura-omote Lovers" which was originally produced by Genjitsutouhi-P for Miku in Aug.30,2009.

The parody was written by 52 and sung by Earogeru, although the version I decided to use has Kaito singing in it.
The parody focuses on the distinctive personalities and attitudes toward the characters of the anime 'Durarara!!' which focuses in the location of Ikebukuro.

This basically took me hours to encode and time. It eventually got messy as all the words piled up, so you might need to pause at times. I want to especially thank Karunarotsu on youtube who posted up the translations and for letting me use it for this fansub.

Heres the subbed video:

Here is the link for download the mp3 song.
MU mp3

As for downloading the video or an mp3 version of it... Eh, it depends if alot people requests it, because I'm one of those people who are lazy if not alot find the video/mp3 interesting.

In the meanwhile, mind as well check out my other subbed videos (navigate through the sidebar, and click on 'subs' OR check out my channel 'themilktea')

Also, look forward to my hiatus post comming in a few hours... I'm taking a break, this video took my hours to do... you can actually tell how sluggish the fansubs look.

My Anime "Watching Now" Schedule :)

This post focuses on the previous 'Anime based' post. Like I said I'm watching 5 animes.
( have recently 'stalled' Bleach... It's dragging my anticipation of the Arrancar Arc)

Monday: -
Tuesday: Kimi ni Todoke
Wednesday: -
Thursday: Durarara
Friday: -
Saturday: Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Detective Conan
Sunday: One Piece

This is the actual schedule of when the anime is aired in Japan. I tend to watch with English Subtitles and therefore the sub releases are sometimes delayed (causing me to fall behind the actual aired date). Anyways I'm grateful of the fansub groups that take up subbing all the anime's im watching, even though sometimes they are late in releasing it - I can take up the self discipline to wait patiently for it!

I'm currently working on my Project for school... therefore my time for daily (should I say weekly) blogging will be limited. I announce my hiatus for a couple of weeks (in reality a few days, just said weeks so that I sound like im a studious student)

Luffy's ultimate loss

I have come across an awesome AMV? or Video dedication to the famous episode in which Luffy's Straw Hat Crew is seperated. I've actually watched this a couple of times, this incident happened BEFORE the Impel Down Arc. As you can see the desire in which Luffy want's Kuma to stop.
This is one of the moments in which those who are dedicated One Piece fans get emotional...

The unfortunate seperation of the Straw Hat Crew...

The video is by ZarakiZervosKenpachi on YT who collected the clip segment and edited it into a "dramatic" video dedication to this epic scene.

Layout 'Change' once again...

Wow, unexpectedly a new layout change again. I was actually bothered this time of the year when I'm practically busy with my studies, therefore you can see I did a quick job in editing the image; pretty scrappy if you ask me.

Anyways, I have currently put my anime on hold and have been currently re-watching old episodes of Detective Conan, One Piece and Katekyo Hitman Reborn. All I know is that if I end up watching new episodes I'll become addicted again.

For now I'm aiming to concerntrate on my studies this year as it may determine my future career (as of what asian parents most commonly say). But although I say that... I havent given up on anime, it's just that I wont be watching it as frequently as I use to.

So far I'm watching my anime slowly paced...

And here's another of my random anime post's (I am currently watching 6 anime's and here's my thought and rankings of it for now)

6. Bleach - huh?
A last choice of my list, I'm currently catching up on the random filler arc ... Basically I have no interest in watching further on this arc, I mean... now that the "Arrancar" arc has somehow cut off and here comes an insert filler arc, somehow I'm not in the mood; because I want to watch the Arrancar arc. But this -insert filler arc- somehow is extending the anime .... and drifting away from the Arrancar arc.

5. Katekyo Hitman Reborn - really now...
Uh, I had a tough decision in putting this in 5th this month. The anime itself is getting interesting, but wierdly twisted. But no matter what I'll somehow watch it, because this anime rocks. In comparison to the daily life filler arcs, this one's interesting in a way, although the animal box weapon ideas are slightly lame.

4. One Piece - Bon-Chan!
I'm loving this current arc... I mean the reunion with the previous enemies as Luffy travels down each level, but now crisis occurs as Luffy is fighting the strong enemy (I'm trying to avoid spoilers). I still don't like the idea of seperating the Straw Hat crew, it would've been hilarious if all the crew members were with Luffy trying to break down to the lowest level of Impel Down. Now I'm curious of the future episodes, whether if the Straw Hat crew mates will ever re-unite, if so how? This im looking forward ot it.

3. Detective Conan - rise of the dead?
Wah? Not really the rise of the dead.. but somehow a character which appears to be dead re-appears at a random robbery crime, so many mysteries surrounding if this guy Akai is actually the dead Akai. Or maybe the dead Akai appears to be somewhere else and this random scar Akai is a person in disguise... Uh, so much confusion... everything's shrouded in mystery in the world of Conan, let's wait until the mystery prevails (Probably in the next 100 episodes).

2. Kimi ni Todoke - the romance blossoms
This could probably be the best shoujo-romance anime I've ever watched. The animation design isn't what I expected it to be, but the storyline itself is genuinely sweet. I'm waiting for the 2 main characters to develop a much deeper relationship, but I do hope there'll be some kind of obstacle. If there's an obstacle in some way, this will become much more interesting.

1. Durarara - wait, wait... what?
This is one hectic anime. So confusing, so many things unfold in the last 5 episodes... this involves the headless rider, a black market doctor? Color gangs, Kida's past, connections between Shizuo and Izaya, a perverted teacher? Slasher, Dollars? The mystery identities revolving the online chat room that Mikado visits often... Many things that I'd like to find out in the future episodes... each episode is like a cliff hanger to me.

Katekyo Hitman Reborn - Update

WOAH, I've finally progressed further into the anime realm besides studying. KHR seems to develope more and more about the 'future' and their recognition of idenitity through the training.

(May contain spoilers)Ep. 166
Finally Haru and Kyoko gains knowledge of what's been happening of this conflict and choas, and are ready to support those are fighting. The thing I didn't see is Ryohei's massive punch to the reaction of Tsuna confession from telling the truth to Haru and Kyoko.
For now it seems they're ready to battle in choice, and that I'm looking forward to. To spoil it even more a new ending of the anime series was released in this episode, as you can see they are nicely dressed in "mafia" suits. Everyone in the family, even Lambo signfies that they are ready for this battle.

Most Anticipated Animes in 2010
These are the anime I most WANT TO WATCH in this year.

Durarara!!
Who would've thought this anime would catch my attention, but it has attracted my attention in a way that I want to start the series now. It somehow has a unique plotline that I cant even describe, and it looks like is hase a very dark gloomy theme to it and arousing mysteries in between. Even now Im confused about the storyline.

Kaichou wa Maid-sama
Based on the popular manga, seems like a shoujo based anime. This I really want to watch, I'm craving for shoujo animes since I haven't watched anime as much and I've been caught onto many shounen animes that I'm slightly now sick of it. Interesting plotlines never disappoint me in picking anime waiting list.

Angel Beats
What is it? I seriously don't understand, all I see is these students in breaking into many rooms and 'rebel'. This confusion on mine triggered curiosity of this anime. Therefore it is added into my waiting list.

Starry Sky
Eh, another shoujo based filled with lots of bishounen. This, I hope it wont turn out like 'Miracle Train', which made me puke a couple of times. Hope Starry Sky isn't anything like and hopefully with a SOLID plot.

Giant Killing
Hurray for sports animes, I'm beginning to like them after watching a couple. The manga triggered my interest, lets hope it has a proper plot ending (unlike a random cut-off in ES21) - This one's about football or should I say soccer, the most loned sports anime I wanted to watch was a soccer one, hope my expectations of this anime isn't as bad.

Shinrei Tantei Yakumo
Ahhhh! Finally a spooky anime with a bit of mystery in-between. Similarly to 'Ghost Hunt' it should turn out great. Another one of my favourite combinations of genres (supernatural + mystery).

Bakuman
Although I haven't read the manga, ratings for the manga is high and steady. Therefore I'm pretty sure that the anime wont lack the interest of many of it's manga fans as well. This I'm watching due to many reccomendations I've heard from friends.

(Note: Longest entry I've ever made if you include the two-split entries!)

2010 Most Anticipated Anime + Recent 'I'm watching'

I've recently been hooked into the "anime zone" rather sticking back to my holiday homework and studying. I guess it's a bad thing. As many know 2010, a new year means more new anime releases, here are some of the animes that im eager to watch in 2010 aswell as a summary of what I've been watching in the past month. This may be a long post, therefore splitting it into two posts.

Re-cap of what I've watched recently:

(May contain spoilers)
Many of the anime's that are broadcasting now may have skipped a week or two or delayed broadcasting, this may be due to the end of year holiday break. Therefore the most recent episodes I've watched is 2 or 3 weeks back.

One Piece
Catching up on the episodes that I missed due to the amount of homework. I'm recently up to the episodes in which Luffy and Bon Clay is re-united in Impel Down in order to save Ace. I'm actually not in the like terms of the seperation of the crewmates arc, I'd rather perfer them together. But since the seperation arc, the plot lacked teamwork between the crewmates, but strongly reflected their passion towards each other as Luffy slowly watches his crewmates dissappear in despair.
As for the Impel Down Arc, it's actually getting more exciting as they proceed to each level of the building- therefore I'm looking forward to the proceeds of this plot.

Kimi ni Todoke
Wow, this is getting dramatic. I can feel the presence of confession in the preview of the next subsequent episodes as Sawako slowly realises the 'special' feelings she may have for the guy. Let's hope it doesn't drag too much. I've also read the recent chapters of the manga, I have to say good job to the anime production company have linked closely with the manga plot.

Eyeshield 21
This is one the longer series that aired around 2007-2008. I also learnt that the ending just basically "cuts off" compared to the manga, therefore I somehow is stalling this series. It's pretty good but the ending feels slightly incomplete if it's like that. (Hiruma is cool)

Prince of Tennis
After many reccomendations, again with the 'sports' theme anime, I was actually hooked onto it. In the end I finished watching it in just 1 and a half weeks. This would be the best 'sports' anime I've seen. I even managed to watch the OVA's and specials (I don't usually watch OVA's and specials of anime's since it doesn't really have a specific link to the actual main plot) but, this anime actually made me pick onto the OVA's, I'm eager to watch more in relations to this anime.

Detective Conan
Anticipating on the fansub's of this anime, seems like the holidays are delaying the releases as well for the specific fansub group. But It's worth the wait. The anime originals are slightly irritating BUT I guess it's worth the watch.

OP

YAY! I new opening for Katekyo Hitman Reborn anime. I absolutely love it, and it just has to tease us with the new images that's shown.

- Their new released vongola box animals.
- The real funeral wreaths
- Vongala family's uniform is love :)
(notice that Hibari isn't wearing the battle uniform)
- Seems like Dino and Squalo joined in the CHOICE battle, (as well as Basil)
