Double the process, double the bother

It seems that lately my actual PC could not sustain such powerful process of encoding and timing anymore (my computer is seriously lacking RAM and CPU power processing) so everytime my computer gives me warnings when I multitask or bring tasks up while processing the subtitles and encoding it evidently lags. This means whilst encoding I wanted to listen music on my computer while hopping on and off msn and browsing the internet.. my computer insteads lags, at the same time make beeping warnings of my exhausted CPU and RAM through the main system. I could hear my computers pain, I should really upgrade and complement some of the utilities that I need now.

To solve such problem, I ended up having to pull my laptop out, and whilst my main PC is processing the encoding of the videos and whatnot.. I play games, chat, browse the internet, watch videos and listen to music on my laptop, although I dislike my laptop (cheap and REALLY lags)

Therefore lately I've been using my laptop and my main PC for different tasks. My PC must've been yelling at me everytime I nearly killed it when subtitling and and encoding some of the heavy video files (yes I've been working on some 1hr-2hr video files).

Now that I mention about my computer... I should really upgrade the ROM as well as the external memory.

Eh, it seems like my computer has given up on me on encoding large files, so for now I'm going to stick to small files until I've upgrade the computer system.

Gasp, alot of things to do.

Layout 'Change' once again...

Wow, unexpectedly a new layout change again. I was actually bothered this time of the year when I'm practically busy with my studies, therefore you can see I did a quick job in editing the image; pretty scrappy if you ask me.

Anyways, I have currently put my anime on hold and have been currently re-watching old episodes of Detective Conan, One Piece and Katekyo Hitman Reborn. All I know is that if I end up watching new episodes I'll become addicted again.

For now I'm aiming to concerntrate on my studies this year as it may determine my future career (as of what asian parents most commonly say). But although I say that... I havent given up on anime, it's just that I wont be watching it as frequently as I use to.

So far I'm watching my anime slowly paced...

And here's another of my random anime post's (I am currently watching 6 anime's and here's my thought and rankings of it for now)

6. Bleach - huh?
A last choice of my list, I'm currently catching up on the random filler arc ... Basically I have no interest in watching further on this arc, I mean... now that the "Arrancar" arc has somehow cut off and here comes an insert filler arc, somehow I'm not in the mood; because I want to watch the Arrancar arc. But this -insert filler arc- somehow is extending the anime .... and drifting away from the Arrancar arc.

5. Katekyo Hitman Reborn - really now...
Uh, I had a tough decision in putting this in 5th this month. The anime itself is getting interesting, but wierdly twisted. But no matter what I'll somehow watch it, because this anime rocks. In comparison to the daily life filler arcs, this one's interesting in a way, although the animal box weapon ideas are slightly lame.

4. One Piece - Bon-Chan!
I'm loving this current arc... I mean the reunion with the previous enemies as Luffy travels down each level, but now crisis occurs as Luffy is fighting the strong enemy (I'm trying to avoid spoilers). I still don't like the idea of seperating the Straw Hat crew, it would've been hilarious if all the crew members were with Luffy trying to break down to the lowest level of Impel Down. Now I'm curious of the future episodes, whether if the Straw Hat crew mates will ever re-unite, if so how? This im looking forward ot it.

3. Detective Conan - rise of the dead?
Wah? Not really the rise of the dead.. but somehow a character which appears to be dead re-appears at a random robbery crime, so many mysteries surrounding if this guy Akai is actually the dead Akai. Or maybe the dead Akai appears to be somewhere else and this random scar Akai is a person in disguise... Uh, so much confusion... everything's shrouded in mystery in the world of Conan, let's wait until the mystery prevails (Probably in the next 100 episodes).

2. Kimi ni Todoke - the romance blossoms
This could probably be the best shoujo-romance anime I've ever watched. The animation design isn't what I expected it to be, but the storyline itself is genuinely sweet. I'm waiting for the 2 main characters to develop a much deeper relationship, but I do hope there'll be some kind of obstacle. If there's an obstacle in some way, this will become much more interesting.

1. Durarara - wait, wait... what?
This is one hectic anime. So confusing, so many things unfold in the last 5 episodes... this involves the headless rider, a black market doctor? Color gangs, Kida's past, connections between Shizuo and Izaya, a perverted teacher? Slasher, Dollars? The mystery identities revolving the online chat room that Mikado visits often... Many things that I'd like to find out in the future episodes... each episode is like a cliff hanger to me.

2010 Most Anticipated Anime + Recent 'I'm watching'

I've recently been hooked into the "anime zone" rather sticking back to my holiday homework and studying. I guess it's a bad thing. As many know 2010, a new year means more new anime releases, here are some of the animes that im eager to watch in 2010 aswell as a summary of what I've been watching in the past month. This may be a long post, therefore splitting it into two posts.

Re-cap of what I've watched recently:

(May contain spoilers)
Many of the anime's that are broadcasting now may have skipped a week or two or delayed broadcasting, this may be due to the end of year holiday break. Therefore the most recent episodes I've watched is 2 or 3 weeks back.

One Piece
Catching up on the episodes that I missed due to the amount of homework. I'm recently up to the episodes in which Luffy and Bon Clay is re-united in Impel Down in order to save Ace. I'm actually not in the like terms of the seperation of the crewmates arc, I'd rather perfer them together. But since the seperation arc, the plot lacked teamwork between the crewmates, but strongly reflected their passion towards each other as Luffy slowly watches his crewmates dissappear in despair.
As for the Impel Down Arc, it's actually getting more exciting as they proceed to each level of the building- therefore I'm looking forward to the proceeds of this plot.

Kimi ni Todoke
Wow, this is getting dramatic. I can feel the presence of confession in the preview of the next subsequent episodes as Sawako slowly realises the 'special' feelings she may have for the guy. Let's hope it doesn't drag too much. I've also read the recent chapters of the manga, I have to say good job to the anime production company have linked closely with the manga plot.

Eyeshield 21
This is one the longer series that aired around 2007-2008. I also learnt that the ending just basically "cuts off" compared to the manga, therefore I somehow is stalling this series. It's pretty good but the ending feels slightly incomplete if it's like that. (Hiruma is cool)

Prince of Tennis
After many reccomendations, again with the 'sports' theme anime, I was actually hooked onto it. In the end I finished watching it in just 1 and a half weeks. This would be the best 'sports' anime I've seen. I even managed to watch the OVA's and specials (I don't usually watch OVA's and specials of anime's since it doesn't really have a specific link to the actual main plot) but, this anime actually made me pick onto the OVA's, I'm eager to watch more in relations to this anime.

Detective Conan
Anticipating on the fansub's of this anime, seems like the holidays are delaying the releases as well for the specific fansub group. But It's worth the wait. The anime originals are slightly irritating BUT I guess it's worth the watch.

Results

Yikes. I've recently got some of my exam results, and they're aren't as good as I thought I would get. Overall average was around 70, but my ranks are still the same. I guess I'll just have to work hard on my exams on my final year of school.

Anyways, I cant wait for the Chuseok special of Star Dance Battleof kpop stars (info credit: allkpop). I'm definately gonna catch it when it's aired.

Meanwhile.. I'm 24/7 watching episodes of Detective Conan: Case Closed anime series. Who would've thought classic animes like Conan are pretty good?

At the same time, I'm also watching Bleach and Katekyo Hitman Reborn as both are shonen and ongoing based anime which I myself find it interesting. But the anime I find boring right now is Hanasakeru Seishounen I mean the first couple of episodes were fine, until the next about the Prince and ectetera were all dull and boring. I completely lost interest as soon as it got deeper about the Prince and all.
During this holiday, I'm hoping to atleast reach episode 300 for Conan.
My other aim is to watch Melancholy of Haruhi Suzimiya and finish it (because I need to catch up on the new releases of 2009

I'm also hooked on a couple of manga, but the one im so addicted to is Dengeki Daisy. Right now it's a cliff hanger, and I cant wait for the new releases.

Hi-Five

YES! New strategic release from Xing Entertainment.
Well, their new MV High-Five wasn't what I expected, but better than nothing.

They also had their music bank performance of their new song release.

Although I wasn't digging in their new song, and that performance on MusicBank wasn't as good as I expected (couple of off-beats and out of note singing) but it was LIVE so that levels everything up. I'm sure to look forward in their future performances.

Super Junior influences Spain?

I've recently been soompi-ing. Theres a specific post that stated that Adriel (Spanish singer) ripped-off Super Junior's song "U".

Here's the article i found ;)

Spanish singer plagiarize a Song from SuperJunior
Hello everybody!
Look this carefully! this news was published in HATO fanclub (latin American and Spanish Sj fanbase):

"In this musical world, there is a music festival called Eurovision Song Contest, where all the european (and some asian) countries send their best contestants with brand new songs to represent them in order to win.

It's a great contest, believe me, I follow this contest since 8 years ago and, what I'm about to say is something that it's still unveliavable for me.

In Spain, the method they had to choose their contestant in the Eurovision Song Contest is to hold an internet open poll where all the songs (455 songs) are uploaded to a webpage and all the people (not including spanish people) vote for their favourites.
I was voting for all the ones I liked when I found out something so disgusting, so humiliating for all of us ELF.

Click this link and then, press the play button to listen to the song:

http://www.rtve.es/television/eurovision20...os/adriel.shtml

Yeah, that's right. It's the instrumental version of U with other lyrics... That's not fair at all!!. He broke one of the most important rules: to make a song fully original (lyrics and music).

Eurovision-spain.com, the official spanish fanbase of the Eurovision Song Contest wrote something about this case, case that I reported, this is the quote:

eurovision-spain.com said: disappointments and doubtful songs in RTVE.es

- Adriel Solo Un segundo: Published before october 1st 2008. Using the instrumental version of U, a hit song from the Korean Boyband Super Junior (SJ) that was published in 2006. Adriel has said in the Myspace forum that he did use the instrumental version because of lack of time, and that later on he will remake the song.

What do you think about this? do you think an excuse like this can be given in such an important contest like this? do you think someone professional enough can STEAL a song from other group.

Let's do something about it, we can do it!"

Believe it or not... is Super Junior that famous in Europe countries too?

Whatever happened to...

For people who haven't noticed, remember the kpop boybands that debuted last year or '07, and some how dissappeared? I feel sorry for these groups, but I do have to say some of the groups did FAIL to catch attention, and thats the reason they're lost in the midst of the industry.
Well after digging up some news about the un-noticed boybands that debuted last year, heres what happened/happening.

SMASH

After their debut of 'Emergency', the 6-member group came up with 'Never Ending Story'. After that... they were on hiatus? People who are major fans of this group probably knew they released a Christmas song (I guess no one knew the existence of that, I found out on those dedicated fan forums). Recently, they.. uh.. not sure, they somewhat have made no comeback whatsoever, and so they are considered to be one of those failed groups (sorry SMASH fans)

XING [OPERA]?

CRED: aoiare
After being noticed as XING a 4 member group in the early '06-'07 . They are now existing till now as XING OPERA after the original members left and the company started rotating new members into the group. They finally made their debut perfomance even though they existed till '07; bit late eh? Their recent album Memorize features the 8 members vocal powers. I gotta say they're quite good, but is it me or do they look like vampires and that member 'White' looks so much like Brian from FTTS? Let's look forward to more of their performances, unless they dissappear like SMASH.

A'ST1
Yes, remember the challenge scroll they promoted abut 'challenging' Super Junior? Made up of world-lingo members ranging from Japan, China and Korea? To be honest I haven't heard about their recent activities, but they have being working their vocals off at Japan. Their first showcase was at Japan as well as more camera time at Japan promoting their recent releases and all. When they first debuted; to be honest they weren't as great hit as what you call 'Super Junior disciples", they sky-rocketed because of that promotion clip (thanks to ELFs), but after clearing that situation should I say they fell back down?
Catch their recent interviews on youtube, i'm not bothered wasting my time posting clips up about this group.

DNT

Dragon N Tiger. They debuted as a fresh new 4 member boy band but with the uniqueness mixing ballad and dance? The Dragon part of the group will dance and the Tiger are in charge of ballad vocals. These two yin and yangs come together to form the Dragon N Tiger (DNT). Yes a weird group indeed, but they are one of the those groups that are overlooked upon. I was deeply interested with them once I heard their debut song 'Two people and Afterwards" too bad no one else was interested. But they are active in the kpop industry performing their news song "I have a lover" and all. To be honest this group was one of the those decent groups that leave a good impression, but some people didnt have taste I guess.

(Note: there are many more boy groups that went 'poof', but I'm not bothered to mention them)

random ramblings; the music industry K-POP

Yes, it's one of those time's I have to talk about something.
Let's see, let's talk about music. In the next few entries I would like to share my thoughts on individual asian countries music.

K-pop
In the scenes of kpop, I always think being a korean singer/artist is much harder than becoming an hk-pop one. The differences in which of the other '?-pops'; that you can audition. But once you're through from the audition, theres another rough 2-6 years of training depending on your talent and strengths. During that time, your thoughts may change and forced to leave since handling of the training is hard like other popular kpop trainees.

The music style is quite hectic, full of varieties; from genres of trot to ballad.
But I have to say, some of the singers do have talent, but some don't. (not mentioning any artists or anything)

Debuting in the k-pop industry is quite tough, like I said. By the time you audition and become a trainee, you have somewhat wasted quite deal amount of time. Think before auditioning. If you were to audition and you're approx. 19 years old, by the time you train your dance moves and vocal cords and debut you'll be well over 23 or over. With that age it seems impossible to become a popular as many groups and singers, nowadays artists/groups debut as young as 16-20.

At the same time music means looks, companies like SM only stage for the looks. (plastified/natural). Some singers that cant take the stress and pressure of the kpop industry even decide to end there lives at one point, and some just leave the kpop scene. This is just the plain hard truth.

Now I need to mention some singers/groups I have in mind.

Lee Seung Gi is a worth mentioning singer, not because his good looking but at the same time you can fall for his voice and sweet smile.

Younha, with her unique voice and music style is one of my favourite female artists.

Groups that are worth listening to is the famous DBSK. The first time I heard them was when they were singing accappella. You can listen to Epik High's song with its unique vibes of music, they can never fail to impress me.

There are many other groups, but I don't like the group as a group. I like the group because of one particular outshine member. Taeyeon from Girl's Generation (SNSD) is a worthy mention as well, her solo songs "If" and Beethoven Virus OST struck me. Kyuhyun from the popular group Super Junior is the best out of the group I think, he's good in both music and live.

There are many other singers/groups. You can research them yourselves either on Soompi or some wiki search engine.

Older posts from my previous blog

Like some people know, from last year I used freewebs, now i moved to blogspot. To fill in the empty spaces some old posts from my old blog.

Good dramas I'd like to recommend:

Heart of Greed
Basically its about a family that owns an abalone buisiness, but soon due to family matters the whole family is in great chaos.

Hana Yori Dango
This is a jap drama. It tells a story of a young girl in a very rich, and i mean rich high school. The bad thing is evryone is rich except her. In that school there is 4 super rich guys that practically control the whole school because their parents contribute money to the school. The 4 guys that is extremely rich were name F4 (Flower 4). They have this system where if you stood up or did something bad towards them they'll issue you a red note (tag) This tag gives permission for people to attack, or to put it BULLY the person for the rest of their highschooling years. When the young girl (whos quite poor) stood up to the F4 because they were going to bully this transfer student she was issued with a red note, the story soon develops into a romantic and comedic drama.

Hana Yori Dango 2
Basically similar to the first season, except it leads off from where it ended. You'll understand what I'm talking about when you watch it ;P.

Nobuta Wo Produce(Jap)
This is really reccomend. Why? It's a point of life and self esteem. The story is about a guy that in his high school years, his friends with all the people in the school, from nerds to jerks. Until one day his popularity starts to drop all because of these 2 friends. One of the friends include a guy whos all "drunk" like and has no point in life whatsoever. The other friends whos new, but is bullied due to no self esteem. Both him and his other friends try to "produce" the new girl to make her popular. Throughout the whol plot friendship starts to break, yet new friendship starts to form. I'll rate it 9/10. Its REALLY good.
