random ramblings; the music industry K-POP

Yes, it's one of those time's I have to talk about something.
Let's see, let's talk about music. In the next few entries I would like to share my thoughts on individual asian countries music.

K-pop
In the scenes of kpop, I always think being a korean singer/artist is much harder than becoming an hk-pop one. The differences in which of the other '?-pops'; that you can audition. But once you're through from the audition, theres another rough 2-6 years of training depending on your talent and strengths. During that time, your thoughts may change and forced to leave since handling of the training is hard like other popular kpop trainees.

The music style is quite hectic, full of varieties; from genres of trot to ballad.
But I have to say, some of the singers do have talent, but some don't. (not mentioning any artists or anything)

Debuting in the k-pop industry is quite tough, like I said. By the time you audition and become a trainee, you have somewhat wasted quite deal amount of time. Think before auditioning. If you were to audition and you're approx. 19 years old, by the time you train your dance moves and vocal cords and debut you'll be well over 23 or over. With that age it seems impossible to become a popular as many groups and singers, nowadays artists/groups debut as young as 16-20.

At the same time music means looks, companies like SM only stage for the looks. (plastified/natural). Some singers that cant take the stress and pressure of the kpop industry even decide to end there lives at one point, and some just leave the kpop scene. This is just the plain hard truth.

Now I need to mention some singers/groups I have in mind.

Lee Seung Gi is a worth mentioning singer, not because his good looking but at the same time you can fall for his voice and sweet smile.

Younha, with her unique voice and music style is one of my favourite female artists.

Groups that are worth listening to is the famous DBSK. The first time I heard them was when they were singing accappella. You can listen to Epik High's song with its unique vibes of music, they can never fail to impress me.

There are many other groups, but I don't like the group as a group. I like the group because of one particular outshine member. Taeyeon from Girl's Generation (SNSD) is a worthy mention as well, her solo songs "If" and Beethoven Virus OST struck me. Kyuhyun from the popular group Super Junior is the best out of the group I think, he's good in both music and live.

There are many other singers/groups. You can research them yourselves either on Soompi or some wiki search engine.
